Lion’s mane mushroom is a very distinct fungus in appearance and medicinal uses. It is a creamy white colour and is not shaped like the most common mushrooms with stems and caps. Depending on the variety, it appears more like coral or having hedgehog-like spikes in a single stemless mass, and grows naturally in many places around the globe. With its significantly increased popularity, it is being cultivated on a small scale for both culinary and medicinal uses.
